The restrictions weren't in place when we booked months earlier, but the week before our planned stay, new COVID rules closed bars, attractions, and restaurants across Germany. My wife, our 7-month-old daughter, and I were meant to stay for a few nights from November 23. We contacted the owners directly through Booking.com and politely asked them to waive the fee, but heard nothing back. Booking.com later told us the owners had refused. They only replied after I said I'd left a review here, and told me they might ask their lawyer to respond. They also said apparently you can only review a place if you stayed there, though my review is about how they handled our booking. If you book this apartment, I'd strongly suggest making sure you can cancel for free. They wouldn't waive the fee even after those strict restrictions came in.

The apartment is really spacious and nicely decorated. Getting to it is the one awkward part, the driveway is narrow.

We'd happily stay here again. It's a lovely, roomy apartment, and I'd definitely recommend it.
