Boutique-Hotel Anno 1910

We picked this place for our anniversary and left really happy with the stay. The location is great, just a short walk from the center, and the room was beautiful and so comfortable. Breakfast was amazing, with plenty to choose from. Everyone was attentive and friendly, always trying to make things nice for us. Thanks for such lovely days, we'd recommend it to anyone.

The hotel itself is clean, cozy, and nicely designed, with a minimalist feel. There's a kettle and a selection of teas in the room, though no closed wardrobe for clothes. The breakfast is the reason for my review, and I wouldn't recommend booking it if a tasty, varied start to the day matters to you. Space for a full buffet seems limited, so staff offer a choice of two dishes: plain scrambled eggs or one other option. You can't take a clean plate and choose food in the dining area. There was very little food and not many cold cuts. To get a proper meal, we ended up with stale bread and the last slices of cheese; there was nothing else suitable. I happened to find boiled eggs by chance. Muesli felt more like dessert than a main meal.

Breakfast was nice, though the selection was the same each day. The cold cuts and cheese platter was delicious, and the morning staff were helpful and friendly. Check-in was easy and contactless, and they let us in early since we arrived ahead of time. The room was modern, lovely, and really clean. The bathroom especially exceeded my expectations, since that's usually how I judge a place. I'd definitely recommend it if you're in Wernigerode! 👍🏻

We came across this modern, cozy wine bar today. The menu is small, with delicious freshly made pasta and bread served with salami and ham. The owner has clearly put a lot of effort into the interior, with its exposed brick walls, and into welcoming and thoughtful service. I'd have liked a bit more variety in the dishes. The rooms shown on the website look really appealing, and I'd like to try one when I visit again.
