We always enjoy coming here. Christa, greetings to you! 😀 The owner is relaxed and genuinely friendly. The house has charm and lots of room, and the attic apartments are especially adorable. It may not be the most modern place, but it has everything needed for a longer stay. There’s parking both outside and on the property, plus a barbecue, fire pit, terraces, and quiet spots to relax. It’s also a great starting point for all sorts of activities in the Harz Mountains. We’ll definitely be back! 😀

The house was beautiful, but we had the apartment right under the roof and that was about the only plus. We had a young dog who ate everything in sight, so the carpet everywhere wasn’t practical, and we ended up vacuuming ourselves. The furniture was quite outdated, the sofa had a hole in it, and the beds were too small. They did provide a crib, though, which was good.

The view was the one bright spot, though even the balcony could use some work. The furniture was outdated and the couch had a hole. There was no oven or microwave, so we mostly had to eat out. The bathroom was very musty, possibly because of mold on the ceiling. Cleanliness wasn’t really an issue, but the carpet was covered in little insects, including flies and spiders.

It’s an old house where everything creaks, with worn and neglected sleeping arrangements and dirty walls. Just before we left, we were told we’d have to strip the beds ourselves.
