I really enjoyed staying at the hotel. My room was clean, spacious, and had everything I needed, and the buffet breakfast was good. For my birthday, the staff surprised my wife and me by decorating our breakfast table and giving us a glass of dry sparkling wine. I've worked as an international consultant in the hospitality industry for 23 years. I'd suggest letting reception staff communicate with guests in languages besides German, and adding music channels and channels in other languages to the TV. To help increase occupancy, perhaps the hotel could also make use of the ski resort facilities, such as buying and using a snow cannon or using a cable car.

The brunch buffet was delicious, just as good as a normal à la carte plate, and you could choose whatever and however much you wanted. The staff were consistently nice and competent. It's a hotel and restaurant right next to the Schanzen it takes its name from, with indoor and outdoor tables. I didn't see the rooms, but if they're as nice as the restaurant, they must be fantastic.

What a nice place, and the view is great. The room I shared with someone was missing a blanket and pillow, so I got the extra ones. They do give you gummy bears, though!

The receptionist at Regio Hotel didn't speak English. Instead of calling Regio Hotel's customer service line, where there are English-speaking agents, he started yelling and slamming things. I explained what had happened to the corporate office, and the woman there just laughed. Apparently, the company buys distressed properties and runs them cheaply. Hospitality doesn't seem to be what they're aiming for.

We could see deer from our room, which was a lovely surprise. The hotel’s in a great spot, the rooms were clean, and the staff were nice. Breakfast was wonderful too.
