Hotel Haus Duden

The bed was one of the most comfortable I've had during my time visiting Europe. I stayed here for a night before my flight back to Canada from Amsterdam. The hotel is all on one level, with no steps, and check-in was great. The staff were friendly and spoke English very well. My room had a fan but no A/C, which was fine for sleeping. The restaurant serves good food, though the choice isn't huge. It's very quiet around the hotel, almost like being out in the country, which I liked.

We had a good weekend at «Hotel Haus Duden». The room had been renovated, with a PVC floor instead of carpet, and a quiet fridge, which I really appreciated. The beds were excellent, and the bathroom was nice. There's no air conditioning, but the large window has a mosquito net, and that's all we need. Breakfast was good and the Wi-Fi worked well. There are lots of parking spaces and plenty of greenery around the hotel, with a nice area for walking and cycling and seeing castles. The restaurant and sauna are available, though we didn't use them. The staff were friendly and helpful. Thanks, ladies!

There was plenty of storage in the spacious room, and the shower was brilliant. It was a bit warm when I arrived, but the window opened wide and had insect mesh. A couple of mosquitoes still got through, though the mesh is a good feature. I also spotted a fan in the wardrobe for warmer months. The area was very quiet, but I imagine it could get a little noisy if the hotel were busy with other guests. Plenty of free parking, too.

We stopped here on the way from the Netherlands to France and arrived late. The chef still made us some fries, which was kind. The rooms were fine and it was quiet. 🇦🇺
