The old family mill became a B&B and artisan bread shop back in the 1990s. It's a lovely place to stop while traveling through the Rheinland Phaltz region, tucked between Germersheim and Bellheim near the Rein River.

I only stopped by briefly for the bread tasting and a walk through the garden, but it left a great impression. The host breakfast sounded incredible, and the place seems ideal for a restful stay and some relaxed yoga.

We came across Hofgut Holzmuhle by chance, after seeing all the positive reviews online. They were true, and the place was even better than we'd hoped. The hosts were amazing, and everything about it deserves a 10. Even in winter, we could feel how peaceful it is. It's a real gem if you're nearby or just need to get away for a bit and find some peace. 😁

I hardly ever write reviews, but this stay was special enough to make me take the time. We stayed overnight twice and already can't wait to return once these difficult times are over. It feels like a magical oasis away from the stresses of the world. There's so much to take in, from the beautiful gardens and roaming peacocks to the exotic sculptures, carefully decorated rooms, and breakfast room full of clever details. You'd need five visits just to notice it all, and that kind of luxury deserves time. The two handsome hosts are witty and great to chat with, and they'll do whatever they can to make your stay enjoyable. You feel wonderfully spoiled here, which is exactly why it's worth staying. I can guarantee you won't regret booking a night at this enchanting place. Honestly, I can't think of enough compliments.
