Hotel zur Post

We had a room in the newer section of this clean, pleasant hotel. The breakfast selection was small, but had what you needed, and the ladies kept replenishing it right up to the end of service. The pillows were huge and very soft, in that very German style. Our room didn’t have any extra ones.

The beds were pretty comfortable and breakfast was quite good. The room did get warm, though, and there were no fans. For a hotel without air conditioning, you’d think they’d at least provide fans. It was okay overall.

I was there for work and to get ready for a friend’s wedding nearby. My room was very large, with a balcony at the back, and everything was clean. I did see a few smaller rooms, though. The people were wonderful, and one employee even drove me after the reception when I couldn’t get my car the next day. Taxis were hard to find, and there’s no Uber or Lyft in Germany. I really appreciated the help; they didn’t have to do that, but could see I was stuck. Thanks! For a late arrival, call ahead and they’ll give you a door code to get your key. The front desk isn’t staffed around the clock, so it’s important to respect that they can’t wait up all night.

The breakfast was good, and the service was good too.
