Hotel Villa Klemm - Wiesbaden City

Hotel Klemm was a great experience. I needed to check in late, so I called to ask how it worked. They explained it clearly and were very helpful. In Germany it’s normal for there to be no reception after 9 pm, and for guests to check themselves in and collect a key the hotel has prepared. Breakfast had a good selection, and plenty for someone like me who rarely eats breakfast.

Hotel Klemm has a vintage character that I felt added to its charm, even if parts of it seem a little worn. The rooms are elegant, with distinctive furnishings and ornate details that make them feel welcoming. Staff were courteous, attentive, and knew a lot about the hotel’s history. From the moment I entered the lobby, I felt carried back to an earlier age of luxury. If you want a modern, identical-to-everywhere experience, this probably isn’t the place. But if you enjoy history, architecture, and old-fashioned service, Hotel Klemm is well worth a visit. Be sure to explore Nerotal park and the funicular train.

The deluxe room was lovely, with high ceilings, big windows, and a great bed. The bathroom and shower were good too. Breakfast had plenty of variety and the service was good. Arriving late was the one difficult part. It got a bit chaotic, so contact the hotel in advance if you’ll be late.
