Trip Inn Hotel Klee am Park

The German breakfast each morning was the best part, with plenty of fresh choices for every taste. I never left the table unsatisfied. The Klee is also in a convenient spot, steps from the casino and close to the shops and beauty of Central Wiesbaden. The staff were exceptionally helpful and willing to do whatever was needed for guests. Rooms are a bit dark, and the retro furnishings, including a shoe polisher and cigarette machine in the lower lobby by the restrooms, give the hotel character and a nostalgic feel.

The location is handy, next to Kurpark and about a ten-minute stroll from Marktkirche. It’s a cozy, pleasant hotel without any fuss. Check-in and check-out were easy, and the room was clean with nice amenities. There was no minibar, but I only stayed one day, so I suppose that was normal.

The location was nice, but the room smelled very old and closed up, like old furniture. It got cold at night, and I couldn’t adjust the temperature from the room.

We were a group from Sweden visiting Wiesbaden for the Convention, and chose the hotel because it was near the venue. Things started going wrong at check-in. The older man at reception was so rude that our arrival felt awkward. One colleague uses a wheelchair and asked about changing rooms, though it wasn’t his responsibility. My wife has a bad knee, and our room required us to go through the whole hotel and up some stairs, which was awkward for her. I asked whether we could move to a room that suited her better, and got an immediate, emphatic no without them even checking. The room was old and unpleasant, and the breakfast was beyond criticism. The whole experience was a total disaster. I travel a lot for work and personally around the world, and this was the worst hotel I’ve ever stayed in. I definitely won’t stay here next time we’re in Wiesbaden. I have to give it one star. If I could, I’d give it - 10 stars.
