We found this a lovely base for hikes in the area, and the bike garage was a real plus. Dinner was even better than the fantastic breakfast, so we're already thinking about coming back. Many thanks to our hosts for such a wonderful few days. Thumbs up!

The rooms are simple, but spotless and perfectly fine, and there's a lockable garage for motorcycles. We ate really well at both breakfast and dinner. The hosts were fantastic, and we'll absolutely return. Highly recommend it.

We had a wonderful stay and felt at home from the warm welcome. We were here for three nights to celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary, and the hosts had laid out a lovely breakfast table for us that day. Thank you again! 🤗 Breakfast was fresh and generous. Dinner was substantial and delicious, though there was just one dish, pork, with no menu. The room was bright, clean, and fairly spacious, with simple, understated furniture. The mattresses felt much too soft to me, though that's only my preference, of course. There was no safe or fridge, which would be useful in really hot summer weather. The bathroom was a prefabricated unit with a 1970s look, and at about 1.40 x 1.40 meters it felt cramped, even a little adventurous.

We spent a relaxing evening on the terrace by the bar ❤️. When the hosts brought out platters piled with food, we wished we hadn't already eaten at Torfhaus. It looked fantastic! Breakfast the next morning was plentiful, fresh, and delicious, and we got some route suggestions from other guests. We'd booked just a day ahead, then arrived as four people with our bikes. They welcomed us warmly and let us put the bikes straight in the garage. Our two double rooms were modernly furnished and came with towels, soap, and bed linen. The beds were wonderfully soft and comfortable. Thanks so much for a great weekend. We'll definitely be back! 👌
