The playroom is a real plus for families, and the terrace is idyllic in summer. There's plenty for hikers and families to do in the surrounding area. We had a pleasant stay last summer, with delicious breakfasts, a beautiful view from the room, and a quiet setting that was great for getting away from everyday life. The rooms have been charmingly renovated, especially the bathroom. The room could use more places to sit or put things. The bedside tables are so small that the chair had to become a shelf, leaving nowhere to sit. It felt a bit empty and wasn't very comfortable on cold days when we couldn't use the balcony. Still, it was fine for a short hiking and excursion holiday. The doors are rather thin, too. At first, hearing a dog trot through the hallway at night was a little unsettling until we worked out what it was :) Vegetarians may find evening meals tricky because there aren't many restaurants, so we went to an Italian restaurant in the next biggest town. Meat eaters have plenty of alternatives. A good place to enjoy the Harz Mountains in peace, away from the tourist crowds around Wernigerode.

The staff were really friendly and breakfast was excellent, with a wide choice that included plenty of homemade items. We had a short break with our two children. Our room was modern, tastefully furnished, and very clean, with comfortable beds and bed linen and towels provided.

The café has a nice range of delicious homemade cakes, and the team creates a lovely atmosphere there. It's a small, lovely hotel with beautiful rooms. Everyone was incredibly friendly and attentive, and took care of everything. It's very dog-friendly, so we felt truly welcome.

Carola gave us such a warm welcome, and the service was super friendly. The guesthouse is quiet up on the mountain, with a great view, and feels perfect for relaxing or hiking. It's clean and stylish, and we felt completely at ease. Thank you for a wonderful stay, we'll definitely be back. Perfect getaway at "RAuszeit". Hikers and mountain bikers can head straight out from the door to explore. The sauna and fireplace make it easy to relax, and the rooms and breakfast are lovingly put together. The café's homemade cakes are very, very delicious, and hot meals can be made on request. Wonderful service, accommodation, and location. Thanks for a lovely time at
