The room was clean and pleasant, the area quiet, and the staff friendly. Prices are lower than average. I’d skip the restaurant they partner with, though, since there’s better food nearby.

I arrived shortly before 6 p.m. on Pentecost Saturday, May 23, worn out after a long bike ride, only to find the hotel door locked. A note on it gave a mobile number, and when I called, I was told bluntly that I wasn’t on the booking list. An employee came by about ten minutes later to check the computer, but there was still no room for me, and the hotel was full. I also met another guest outside who’d booked through a different portal and had the same problem. It seems the hotel's booking system is at fault. I’d reserved a room through a booking portal on February 18, 2026, for Pentecost weekend and had a confirmation. I was traveling alone on a long-planned tour, so being left without a place to sleep in Wilhelmshaven that Saturday was a disaster. My phone and power bank were nearly out of battery, and I had to scramble for somewhere else at the last minute. With the holiday weekend, the only available option I could find was extremely expensive. This unprofessional handling of bookings nearly wrecked the tour for me. I still have the written confirmation from February. If you need dependable accommodation and don’t want to end up stranded after a full day of cycling, avoid this place.
