The owners are incredibly friendly and always happy to chat 😊 The apartment feels like home as soon as you walk in, and it's beautifully furnished, with a modern bathroom and towels. Everything you need for the kitchen is there, too. Outside, the garden is beautifully landscaped, with a private area for guests that has a grill and fire pit. You can relax on the loungers or the porch swing. There's also a coop with a few chickens living an easygoing life. I especially liked plump Berta 😀 There are two playgrounds in the village, and they're not just for kids 😂 A restaurant is about a 10-minute walk away. I forgot to take photos, or rather, chose not to, since beauty is in the eye of the beholder. See for yourselves! If you want to know more, pack your bags, book your own stay, and explore on your own 👌👌👌

We got a warm welcome, along with useful tips and tricks about the area. The apartment was clean, tidy, and spacious. My one personal complaint was the very soft bed in the living room, which didn't suit my stocky frame. That doesn't change my 5-star rating. Thanks Edith and Torsten for the hospitality. See you soon!

The kids were delighted by the chickens in the garden, and we loved having a lovely terrace with a barbecue. Emelrod is peaceful, with beautiful scenery around it, and we enjoyed outings to Edersee for the dam and wildlife park with its bird show, Diemelsee, and the 3D minigolf in Willingen. Edith welcomed us so warmly. The apartment was quiet, really quiet, and wonderfully clean, with comfortable beds and everything we needed. We had a great time with Edith and Torsten, who were always happy to chat. We hope to come back soon.

We spent the week hiking and taking in the scenery around Amelrod. It’s a beautiful place for hiking or mountain biking, and for cross-country skiing in winter.
