Mountain View Hotel Willingen

The hotel itself was great, but getting in late was a really poor experience. We arrived at 9:18 last week, parked in the garage, then found the reception door locked with no note. Carrying our suitcase around to the front entrance was quite a struggle. There we found a note saying reception was closed and listing a number to call. Our first three calls went to voicemail. It was very cold, and thankfully some other guests let us inside. After four calls, a man finally picked up. We said we were at reception and asked him to come quickly, but in poor English he told us to go to the Best Western and hung up. There was no hospitality or help. I don’t blame the man himself, but this felt like a failure of management’s approach to receiving guests.
