Top notch food and professional service in a marvelous location. Easily the best hotel and restaurant I’ve visited in years!

The service was good, and so was the food.

We stopped in with a big group after a day hiking and were mostly happy with the food, even if it wasn’t exactly cheap. Our orders took quite a while because the owner was chatty, though once they were in, the meals came out quickly. Dogs are welcome, and we’d return.

Our family stayed at the Hotel Burgcafé after our civil wedding in Dattenfeld, but there wasn’t enough room for all of us there. The hosts kindly arranged breakfast for the whole group the next morning. We’re so grateful for the wonderful service and for having us.

The room was spacious, bright, modern, and nicely furnished, and the bathroom was lovely, with both a shower and a bathtub. We came as a couple and booked spontaneously. The staff were so courteous and friendly, and our waiter was one of the most attentive and professional we’ve met. The chanterelles were delicious, and we were glad we took the owner’s suggestion to see the concert in the park. One of the best hotels we’ve stayed at in this price range.
