Everything was top-notch.

Getting to the top floor means taking the stairs, so it may not work well for anyone with mobility issues. The apartment itself is lovely and quiet, with a great view over Züschen and the mountains from the comfortable sofa. It's 106 sq m, spacious, modern, cozy, and tastefully done without clutter. There are beautiful paintings, two showers, and a guest toilet. The kitchen has everything, and the beds are new, though a little firm but still okay. Highly recommended, and we'd be happy to return.
A good place for a group of six on a bus trip. The bathroom, shower, and toilet are all together, so you need to coordinate a bit :). Still, I'd definitely recommend it for a biker weekend!
Züschen has a lovely Sauerland feel, with a supermarket and a fresh bakery nearby, even open on Sunday mornings. It felt more authentic to me than bigger Winterberg, and I prefer it. Winterberg is right around the corner, which made this a great base for our long weekend. The apartment at the Alte Schule Zuschen exceeded what we expected. It's modern, sleeps six, and the furnishings are clearly new and carefully chosen. There are two bedrooms, one with a double bed, the other with two fixed beds and a bunk bed. There's a USB port by the night light for charging your phone. I like a firm mattress and a good pillow, so I usually bring my own, but didn't need them here. The bathroom is new and tidy, with a good shower. We had two rolls of toilet paper for five people, which wasn't enough, so I'd bring extra. The living room and kitchen share one space. The dining table seats six, and there's a comfortable chair you can sit in all evening. The kitchen is fully equipped, with a full-sized stovetop, coffee maker, Nespresso machine, and dishwasher. There's also a washing machine, though we didn't use it on our long weekend. The sofa and TV are comfortable, and if the weather turns bad, you can log into Netflix or Videoland and watch your favorite series. Wi-Fi was good and fast enough for our family, including three teenagers. Parking is assigned to the apartment and right outside the door, which made unloading the trunk and ski locker easy. We had a wonderful long weekend and would love to come back, in summer and again in winter for the snow-covered slopes.
We arrived as two adults with a dog and stayed in ground-floor apartment number 14. It was so clean it seemed like nobody had ever rented it, and the modern, high-quality furnishings were tasteful. The listing delivered on its promise, and five stars don't feel like enough. We did miss having a vacuum cleaner, but one was brought over that same day. There was a washing machine, dishwasher, Senseo coffee maker, microwave, and spare bed linen. There's even a packed washing-up kit with a sponge, cloth, brush, plus cleaning products and tools for when you need them. One towel per person may not be enough if you don't plan to do laundry, so pack a few extra. We'd love to come back!
