We spent a really lovely week at the Hankeln vacation apartment. It’s been renovated recently and furnished with a lot of care. We’re both 28, and during our 7-day break we hiked around Winterberg and the nearby area, then tried the local restaurants in the evenings before coming back to unwind. We’d happily return and recommend staying here.

The owners were so welcoming, and the freshly renovated apartment feels modern and has everything needed for a comfortable stay. We came for a ski weekend and were thrilled with it. We’ll definitely be back.

Every detail in this freshly renovated apartment seems to have been thought through, and there was nothing we felt was missing. The owners were very friendly and happy to answer our questions. A fantastic place to stay, highly recommended.

The owners were really lovely, and we felt at home as soon as we arrived. The apartment is quiet and right by the forest, with the village a 5-minute walk away and Winterberg a 10-minute drive. Inside, there’s a great sofa and a fantastic box-spring bed with fluffy bedding, plus towels in the bathroom. It’s newly renovated and has everything you need. The landlords were helpful and very friendly throughout our stay. We loved the freshly renovated place, especially the wonderfully soft bed and the roomy rain shower. We’ll definitely return.
