We spent four nights here and were sorry to leave. Our room had plenty of space for clothes and other things, plus a balcony overlooking part of the city and one ski slope. The hotel is perfectly placed for walking to both the center and the slopes. We arrived on New Year’s Eve without a restaurant reservation, but the hotel had already booked a table for us. The food was good, and the restaurant had a cozy old German look with booth seating. The staff were very friendly and always made time for questions, even when busy. If we come back to Winterberg, we’ll definitely stay here again if we can.

We’ve visited Central hotel whenever we come to Winterberg, and last year we stayed there too. We returned this year for lunch, and it met our expectations again. The food is quite good for the price, and the place is cozy, with a nice atmosphere right in the center. I’d readily recommend stopping by for a drink or lunch. It’s not really a pub for teenagers or people in their early twenties.

A top hotel.

The worst experience. We spent a lot of money for nothing. The pasta bolognese was worse than plain bread, and the schnitzel with fries was poor too. Eat somewhere else. Thanks! M.

The food and service really made our stay, and the location is a 10/10. Having stayed at several places in and around Winterberg, Central-Hotel stands out.
