The location is good and the price was fair, and communication with the landlord was really pleasant. They reply quickly and are happy to help with ideas for things to do nearby. The apartment was spotless and comfortable, with more provided than I usually expect, including a washer and dryer, sleds, and lots of kitchen equipment. The kitchen looks dated but works perfectly well. The new shower was in great shape, and the huge main bedroom had great beds. A real plus.

Very disappointing. The accommodation ban in North Rhine-Westphalia meant we couldn't take our New Year's holiday, and all our attempts to reach an arrangement with the landlord went nowhere because he repeatedly ignored our emails. We eventually got him on the phone, but he wouldn't refund the full amount we'd already paid for the apartment. We even suggested paying it back in installments, and he refused that too. We now have no option other than legal action. I can't recommend this place.

A clean, tidy holiday home in a peaceful spot at the foot of Kahler Asten mountain, with excellent hiking trails nearby. The landlady was very friendly. Every apartment has its own garage, and there's free Wi-Fi along with good mobile reception.

There was everything we needed, and then some. The apartment was lovely, roomy, and clean.
