We booked the hotel's bus for a day trip. The trip itself went as expected, and the driver was fairly friendly at first, but afterward they refused to return our deposited security money with little or no understandable explanation. When differences come up, they can often be sorted out through a friendly conversation, which is what we asked for. Another bus company we booked for the same trip was transparent, communicative, and friendly about all the conditions and circumstances. This company was blunt and unwilling to talk, directing us to a lawyer for any further questions. So if something doesn’t go as planned, don’t expect a friendly response here. I won’t rely on this bus service again. I’ll use the one that treated me like a paying customer and was friendly throughout. Sorry, but never again.

The rooms were clean and spacious, and the staff were very friendly despite their working conditions. But the price didn’t feel worth it. The website and brochure advertised free drinks at pickup, then we were told afterward that they weren’t free after all. They also seemed understaffed. While we were having a drink at the bar, the barkeeper suddenly had to leave to handle the outdoor tent, which was due to open a while later. The best part of our stay was the time we spent in nearby Winterberg, which made the idea of an all-inclusive trip feel a bit ridiculous.

The meals were nice, and it’s not far from the slopes. The swimming pool was too cold, had only one shower, and no bathrobes were provided.
