Winterberg is a beautiful, charming little town with everything you could want. At the guesthouse, the service was very friendly, and everything was completely to my satisfaction. The rooms were clean, cozy, and rustic, with towels and other amenities provided. There's a breakfast room as well.

The room was spacious, though street traffic made it quite noisy, and I didn't care for the view of the hospital rooms. I also found it a little odd that the shower was open in the room, with only the toilet in a separate space. Still, I felt very comfortable here despite those minor drawbacks. The guesthouse is central without being right in Winterberg's cramped, busy centre, which I prefer, and it's close to the hospital, so handy for visitors. The friendly owners run this small family guesthouse themselves, and everything is clean and well maintained. The price is very, very reasonable, with unbeatable value for money in Winterberg. Breakfast was very good: coffee in a large pot, rolls, several kinds of decent bread, a good selection of cold cuts, several cheeses, juice, and an egg on request at no extra charge. The only thing missing was yogurt, fruit, tomatoes, and cucumbers. There's a small lounge with a drinks fridge, cutlery, and dishes for a light snack. You can write your expenses on a slip of paper for the honesty box, which I think is a good idea. A kettle is available if you ask. Winterberg's free Wi-Fi worked perfectly, with no paperwork, sign-up, or codes. I can highly recommend this place if you appreciate genuine hospitality and excellent, unobtrusive service more than luxury and pretension.

The room was super clean, and there was a lounge with a refrigerator. Breakfast was generous and reasonably priced, too. Really nice people. Everything was great, and I'd happily stay again.
