Nuhnetal Appartements

We left after one night because the experience was so bad that we couldn't enjoy our holiday. The room was incredibly dirty, and the owner was so rude that we no longer felt comfortable there. We tried to get the money back for the two nights we didn't stay, but she refused. We had driven four hours and arrived to find that the apartment I'd paid extra for had been given to other guests. We were put in a smaller room, and they wouldn't offer appropriate compensation or let us stay in the apartment we'd paid for. When we said we were unhappy with this, the owner became very mean and nearly sent us out into the street that evening with nowhere to sleep. I've stayed in lots of hotels and apartments, and never experienced anything like this. It felt like we were being scammed right in front of us. She has no heart! We eventually found a beautiful room at HOTEL LIEBESGLÜCK across the street. They were very kind and helped save our holiday a little after the terrible experience at hotel Nuhnetal. DO NOT GO HERE!

We didn't sleep well because the mattresses were far too soft, although the rooms themselves were nice and clean. The breakfast buffet had a friendly attendant, but the lady of the house was quite brisk and not very helpful. The small pool felt cold, nowhere near the advertised 29 degrees, maybe 20 at most. We couldn't get a drink after dinner because the bar closed at 8 pm on both days. We also tried to book dinner for our second day, but couldn't, even though we asked early enough. Quite disappointing, and not worth the price.

The Loft is an excellent, spacious flat with nice living areas, about a 10-minute trip from the Hotel. Check-in was quick and easy. We had full access to the Sauna, and even after checking out we could return to shower after skiing before driving to the airport. A pleasant stay.

The rooms were cute, the atmosphere inside was lovely, and the staff were kind. But finding out on the morning we left that parking on the hotel's own property cost about 10€ per night really spoiled the stay. Nobody mentioned the fee or its price before checkout. In a small village with plenty of free parking, we'd have parked elsewhere if we'd known. I've never had to pay for a hotel's own parking in a village like this, and I'm aghast they didn't tell us in advance. I would have loved to come back, but I won't. That deceit turned my five stars into one.
