Only one person was handling the cooking, serving, and everything else, and the food took about an hour and a half to arrive. After an hour we had to get our own drinks. The fries were cold and the schnitzel wasn't great, so it wasn't a good visit and I wouldn't return or recommend it. I'm giving two stars because the woman really did try her best.

I won't stop there again. The food was dry, and the schnitzel seemed to me like it had been reheated. The fries were very dark and dry as well. The side dish brought back memories of East German times. I'll look for an Italian or Greek restaurant instead.
The portions were tiny, the meat was tough and tasted old, and the dishes seemed to come straight from "Maggi's Cooking Studio." For our group dinner at the Scharfenberger Krug, the food arrived in intervals for two people at a time instead of all together. The whole experience was beyond terrible: poor timing and organization, with waitresses both cooking and serving, inedible food, and prices that weren't justified by the rest stop standard. A real shame. We definitely won't be back.
Even when it's late, you can still get something to eat here. It's a cozy little pub, with very plentiful, tasty food, just like Mom's cooking. The service is attentive and friendly.
