The outside seating area was a nice spot for a beer, and the staff who were available were pleasant. Still, I don't think two nights are worth 240 euros, though you may enjoy the atmosphere and cheese rolls at breakfast. Breakfast itself was basic, with cheese, cold cuts, rolls, and a low-capacity toaster. There were two types of butter, three kinds of jam, and six teas, but none was black tea. Coffee was unlimited, though there weren't enough staff to keep the pots refilled. The bar and restaurant were good but seemed fully booked all the time. Hotel Gasthof has charm, but a few changes could make it much better. There are five floors of rooms and no lift. The rooms are large, but the bathrooms are small.
