Pension zur Kurfürstin

Pretty cool.

So beautiful!

We liked the friendly staff, tasty breakfast, and peaceful setting, and the guesthouse itself was cozy. Self check-in was great, especially arriving late. But we’d specifically booked a double room with a renovated bathroom and were given a room with twin beds and a very old bathroom instead.

The central location, nicely furnished entrance, free parking at the guesthouse, and a really kind, friendly staff member were the only positives for us. We booked after reading the very positive reviews and were hugely disappointed. Our room was okay, but cleanliness fell short: the towels were washed but very old and stained in places, the shower screen's crevices seemed never to have been cleaned, and I wouldn't have stepped barefoot on the bath mat. The much-praised breakfast was awful. For days they served rolls left over from earlier, and on the first few days we only got leftovers from previous mornings. The photos show what we found at the breakfast buffet on day two. Even for a guesthouse, at nearly €800 a week I expect cleanliness, a comfortable atmosphere, and a breakfast prepared with care. Unfortunately, we won't book here again.
