Dormero Hotel Worms

The staff made the stay for me. They were so considerate, and Sarina (I believe that was her name, but I forgot to write it down!) was especially lovely. I had a little trouble getting into my room, but she stayed cheerful, shared helpful tips for my first trip to Europe, and was professional throughout. They're still transitioning fully to the Domero name. I'd come back because of her attitude.

We cut our booking short and stayed three nights instead of four. Worms itself isn't much of a tourist town, and the neighborhood felt edgy. It took about 20 minutes to walk to Dom. The first room had a shower that wouldn't drain and no TV connection, so we moved. None of the rooms had internet TV, and they were extremely warm with no fans. The rooms were large, the beds were good, and the shower was good. Breakfast was a great buffet, and the kitchen staff were wonderful. The front desk staff were mostly helpful, though they were often absent, probably because the hotel was understaffed. I'd suggest staying in Speyer or Mainz and driving over. Alt Ruderhaus, right on the Rhine where you can watch the barges, was a great restaurant with good food and staff.

The service was really good, and the rooms were clean and comfortable. I especially appreciated Alex, who works there, taking the time to share more historical information when I asked.

I travel all over the world, and this was one of my best experiences. The women at reception were magnificent: kind, professional, and resourceful.
