I stayed at this youth hostel some time ago and came away with a pretty mixed impression. There was a good hiking trail nearby, and the hostel had ping-pong tables, but rainy days left very little to do. The location itself was okay. The food wasn't good, and a friend of mine went two days without eating because of it. In the shower I saw something black that I think was mold. Once, the toilet wouldn't flush because there was no rainwater left. A small shelf that wasn't secured properly fell on my head, and there was something brown under a friend's bed, which I think was chocolate. So, not a great hostel, though it was halfway decent.

We came as a student group and were absolutely thrilled with this hostel. The staff were very friendly, the food was delicious, and everything was really clean. Our beds were comfortable, and the view was beautiful. There are tables and lounge areas both indoors and outside, plus a vending machine downstairs for drinks. The nearby rock labyrinth is well worth a visit. We'd be happy to come back :)

I was just passing through and only needed a single night, but they let me check in. The staff were just as friendly as they would have been if I were staying the whole week. There's also a drinking water dispenser at reception that's available to guests at any time, and that deserves an extra star.

A great youth hostel, and a really nice stay. It can easily handle larger groups too. The rooms were clean and the food was excellent.

Our club has stayed at youth hostels all across Germany, and this one was the best for us. Everyone found something to enjoy in the varied, delicious food. The rooms and bathrooms were clean, and the staff were consistently friendly and kind. There are plenty of activities for kids at the hostel, and the area around it is fantastic too. Thanks again for such a lovely stay.
