Haus Berlin is very central, about a five-minute walk from the lake and a few hundred yards from the Tourist Information office. We’d happily stay again and recommend it. Our room, number 3, was bright and clean, with comfortable beds and an excellent shower. There was off-road parking, a bike shelter, a sunny garden, a good wifi connection, and a plentiful breakfast with cold meats, cheese, and eggs. There’s also an honesty bar. The staff were friendly and helpful. One small thing: like most local B&Bs, there was no kettle or fridge in the room. We had a very pleasant stay and found it hard to understand some of the negative comments, since other reviewers must have had a different experience.

The owners were very friendly, breakfast was generous and delicious, and parking was free. The hotel is in a quiet, very central spot in Steinhude, and everything felt right for the price. The room was a little dated, but very clean apart from a few cobwebs. We had a lovely stay.

I booked a night at short notice after a concert so I wouldn’t have to drive home. The location is really good, and I liked the friendly, inviting breakfast room and the hosts. Breakfast costs around €20 extra, with a tasty range of standard items served thoughtfully by the hosts themselves. My ground-floor double room did the job, but the cleanliness could be much better, as other reviews have also said. I paid the price because I booked spontaneously and the location suited me, though given the room’s condition and cleanliness, it felt less than reasonable. In the end, the hosts’ hospitality and the lovely breakfast were what made my review rather positive.

The rooms at Haus Berlin are simple, spacious, practical, and clean, and the house is in a great location. Our hosts were friendly and flexible about our arrival, and they accommodated what we needed. It was very quiet overnight and the bed was comfortable. In the morning, they had a lovely fresh breakfast ready: fruit salad, muesli, fresh rolls and cake, cheese, cold cuts, and more. There was a little of everything, enough for us, and the filter coffee was really good. We’d gladly return.
