Haus Ottenlock

We booked the small double room for three nights and felt at home in this carefully furnished house. The mattresses were just right, neither too soft nor too firm; there was a small desk and wardrobe, the Wi-Fi worked perfectly, and the bathroom was very clean. The house is on a side street, within easy walking distance of the harbor and town center. There's also a little lounge and a garden with sun loungers and a great pool. Breakfast was at the nearby sister hotel, Hafenmeisterei, and we had a wonderful view of Lake Steinhude from our table. The breakfast was excellent, with scrambled or fried eggs available with or without bacon. The staff were always cheerful, friendly, and accommodating. We didn't miss a thing and will definitely return. We highly recommend this little house. Best wishes from Flensburg

We slept wonderfully during our two nights at Haus Ottenlock. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and the rooms are beautifully furnished. The bathroom is small, but clean and had everything we needed. The pool area is inviting too. Breakfast is a few minutes' walk away at the sister hotel, Hafenmeisterei, where the reception and service staff were friendly and attentive, always greeting us with a smile. The buffet had everything we wanted, including scrambled or fried eggs made fresh on request. We really enjoyed the break and will be back soon.

Breakfast was very good, and the bathroom and room were spotless. The mattress, though, was rock hard. The receptionist wasn't very friendly on the first day, but was very friendly the next day. Other reviews say the TV and Wi-Fi haven't worked for a year.

The mattress was much too soft for me, so I wouldn't recommend it after a herniated disc. Otherwise, everything was clean, and the house is quiet. It's a very nice little place with a garden pool, about a five-minute walk from Lake Steinhude. Highly recommended! 👍😊
