The breakfast is basic, but there’s plenty of it, and the room was clean and tidy. We had a double room on the fourth floor. It never got properly warm because the window let in a little draft and cold air came through the bathroom vent. The location is great, though, and we’d stay again.

Having an Italian restaurant downstairs made dinner easy with our little son, who couldn’t sit up yet. The food was delicious, the place was nicely decorated, and the service was good. When he got tired, I took the rest of my pizza back to the room. The breakfast buffet the next morning had pretty much everything I expected, and staff brought fresh coffee and other hot drinks. We booked one night so we could explore the island during parental leave and give our son his first hotel stay. Booking was easy. We brought our own cot, since we already had one, and the friendly staff explained at check-in that the hotel doesn’t provide them. The elevator made getting the stroller up to our first-floor room easy. The room was small and plain, with a little wardrobe and table, a phone, TV, and a comfortable double bed made from two single beds pushed together. Our cot only just fit beside it. Since we hadn’t mentioned bringing it when we booked, we hadn’t expected a bigger room. The bathroom was basic, with a shower and toilet, but I thought both the room and bathroom could have been cleaner. There were a few crumbs of unknown origin on the floor, and it could have used another vacuuming. We could hear people in neighboring rooms, though it didn’t bother us. The hotel feels a little dated, although the owners have clearly modernized some things. The room could use more charm, maybe a nicer color scheme or a little decoration, though that’s a matter of taste. The location right by the beach in central Wyk is really good, the room was functional, and the staff were friendly and helpful. I’m satisfied with our stay.

You’ll find it right by the beach and promenade, looking out toward the ferry terminal. It’s an ideal spot, and the price is quite reasonable. There’s also a good Italian restaurant on the ground floor. The hotel has some age and wear showing, but it’s spotlessly clean and everything works. It’s a classic place, with real keys, windows you can open, and a fairly spacious layout. The beds are comfortable, there are four power outlets, a TV with DVD player, and a shower that’s plenty big enough. Friendly staff, a proper reception, and a small lobby round out this cozy, budget-friendly option. It’s the first hotel you come to after the ferry. Highly recommended.
