A good shopping area is just two minutes away, and South Beach is three minutes on foot. There are Italian, Chinese, and Greek restaurants nearby, plus a bakery with a huge selection. The place is a little removed from the city bustle, but not too far. There’s a big parking lot, bike storage, and a small garden with lovely furniture and loungers. Really, it’s almost ideal.

The kitchenette is fully equipped, everything works perfectly, and there’s plenty of parking behind the house, plus covered spaces for bikes. The furnishings are nice, though a few things could be improved, and the bathroom is very small. It’s well placed for walking or cycling into Wyk, and the beach is also within walking distance.

We spent 10 days here with our dog, and the apartment was just right for us. It was clean and had everything we needed, and the private terrace was a great extra. The beach is only a few minutes away on foot. We also liked having Edeka right next door, with a bakery, butcher, and restaurant nearby.

There are six restaurants within about 300 meters, including takeaway places, and a small Edeka just around the corner. The beach promenade takes 5-10 minutes to walk to, and the center of Wyk is about 15-20 minutes away on foot. Parking is available, but we didn’t use the car, and there are plenty of bike rental stations. We rented a one-room apartment for a few days at the beginning of October. It was clean and well furnished, the beds were comfortable, and the furnishings were up to date. If you like narrow pillows, bring your own. Föhr is worth visiting at any time of year!
