I've been here for a week and it's been wonderful so far. Easily a 10 out of 10, and worth every cent. If work brings me nearby again, I'll definitely come back.

I can wholeheartedly recommend it. I haven't stayed in the holiday apartment, though, I'm reviewing the horse boarding facility. The horses live in very natural conditions, and that seems to make them calm. It's hard to put the place into words, so you really have to see it for yourself. The owners of both the boarding facility and the apartment are fantastic. From the first day, they made me feel like I'd been a customer for ages.

We stayed for a few days at the start of September 2014, after finding the place through an online search and a newspaper article. That article gave it four stars, and I can see why. The tiled floors have underfloor heating, it's close to the city center, and some of the windows are triple-glazed. The whole place is hard to sum up, but it really works, and I can recommend it wholeheartedly. The landlord is one of a kind, and his wife is every bit as meticulous as he is distinctive. We even checked the easy-to-miss corners where a little dust would be understandable, since we usually find some. There wasn't a speck anywhere, not on the plants or the kitchen shelves. Xanten has so much to offer. Rent bikes and enjoy exploring; this apartment makes it easy to turn all those attractions into a dream holiday. We'll be back, promise.

We had a good stay in this nicely located, clean apartment. The one downside is that there's no air conditioning. Unfortunately, we were there during a heat wave, so I'd recommend it when the weather is cooler.

Quiet spot, clean and spacious, with comfortable beds. Nothing to complain about.
