Hotel Parkschänke Zabeltitz

We were staying in Großenhain for the Saxon Hiking Day and chose the Parkschänke. Waking up to birdsong was especially lovely, and the surrounding nature and peace and quiet were wonderful. The food was delicious, prepared with care using herbs from the garden. Thanks for the very friendly, attentive service!

The Rose Room I booked was spacious and had a welcoming charm. The hotel sits in a park and castle setting, and the whole place felt pleasant and very clean. The staff were professionally capable and ready to help when needed. Breakfast starts at 6:00 AM and is served buffet-style. It was simple, delicious, and had everything I needed to start the day: warm crispy rolls, three kinds of jam, cold cuts, cheese, muesli, freshly cooked eggs, juice, and water. The breakfast attendant was friendly and attentive, and soft music and hot, tasty coffee made for a lovely atmosphere in the charming dining room. In the evening, meals from the menu are available at reasonable prices by prior arrangement, and they offer coffee and cake in the afternoon. Having breakfast in my room, with the beautiful castle grounds and castle itself just outside the window, felt like a real haven. In these hectic times, it was a place to dream and enjoy some peace. I can wholeheartedly recommend Parkschänke, and I can't understand the negative reviews. Perhaps those people weren't open to the staff or able to understand the place because of their circumstances or personal character. It's a shame for the hotel.

Dear Koitzsch family, A little late, but we wanted to send our heartfelt thanks again for everything. Our Golden Wedding Anniversary celebration was perfect, as was the whole weekend, from the room and service to the food and drinks. Your advice on the menu for our special day was excellent.
