The location made it easy to head out on foot, by bike, or by car and explore the area. We also got a regional guest card with discounts for things like museums, cable cars, and event organizers. We spent a week in apartment 2 at the end of October. It’s small but full of charm, with underfloor heating and a bathroom equipped with everything we could want. There’s a little terrace for sitting outside, and the bikes can be kept in a garage. Two restaurants are close by. The basement sauna was really pleasant, and we could use it by arrangement. The landlords were friendly and helpful, explaining things and pitching in wherever needed. We had a very enjoyable stay, and the five stars are well deserved. We’d happily recommend it. Keep up the good work!

There are hiking trails nearby to suit all kinds of walkers, and the Königscard is a nice perk for access to lots of attractions, some free of charge. We’d love to return. We stayed in the "Alpenblick" apartment for two weeks and felt right at home. It was cozy, the beds were very comfortable, and it had everything a holiday guest might need. Mr. and Mrs. Mair were welcoming and helpful, and they’ve put the house’s organic concept into practice really well.

The Alpenstern grounds are lovely and very well kept. Oy-Mittelberg and the surrounding area also have plenty of good hiking and cycling routes, swimming lakes, and other things to see. We felt very comfortable and would highly recommend the apartment. We stayed for a week in July 2025 in the "Alpenwiese" apartment. The hosts greeted us warmly, and the place was tastefully furnished and very clean. The balcony had mountain views, a table and chairs, and a folding chair. We also liked the modern bathroom and the well equipped kitchen. The beds were comfortable, with reading lamps, and the living room and bedroom windows had insect screens. There was parking, plus a carport space for a small extra charge, and a storage room for bikes. Our hostess gave us the KönigsCard, which includes many free services. We took the train to nearby villages and rode the Alpspitz and Breitenberg cable cars. We also ordered bread rolls, croissants, and other things through Schuster bakery’s delivery service. Everything arrived as ordered and was delicious.

The location in Mittelberg worked perfectly for us. Several restaurants are an easy walk away, the "Zuckerzwerg" café is just around the corner, and shopping in Oy takes less than a three minute drive. The café, thankfully, only opens Friday through Sunday :-) We spent two weeks at Alpenstern Finy in the really spacious "Gipfelblick" apartment. It had everything we needed, including a fully equipped kitchen, comfortable beds, and a TV with DVD player in the living area, plus a radio. The underfloor heating came in handy even in September, and we tried the on-site sauna too, which was a nice extra. We’d wholeheartedly recommend Gästehaus Finy!
