The location is really lovely, and Zandt itself is beautiful and worth visiting, but we won't book this rental again. The apartment was clean, yet badly run-down: trim and covers were missing, some furniture was broken, and the stairs looked like they hadn't been painted in years. The bedroom outlet cover fell off, and touching it could have given you a shock. Cables to the dishwasher were exposed in the kitchen, and every light switch was damaged. Staff also gave us conflicting answers. We were charged €22 in extra fees for three nights despite heating with wood. There are other rentals in town, and we'll avoid this one. The owners clearly don't care about guest safety.

The extra bill was huge, and it felt like money for nothing. We won't ever book there again. We arrived at the holiday home in January 2026 to find black mold on the bathroom ceiling. Cleanliness was poor: the couch was filthy and chewed through, the duvets and pillows were yellow, and the mattress sagged. One star is already too generous. 😤😤😤😤😤😤😤😤😤😤😤😤😤😤😡🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬

The balcony door wouldn't shut properly. Even with the inside latch on, it could be pushed open from outdoors. We also had no parking space number, and the bins were already overflowing when we arrived, so we had to work out where to put our rubbish. The furniture was old, with a broken coffee table missing its glass top. My wife spent 1.5 hours cleaning filthy toilets, floors, and kitchen. We had to run all the dishes through the dishwasher and deep-clean the kitchen, which is a real problem for people with food intolerances like celiac disease if they haven't brought their own dishes. Absolutely not recommended.
