Hotel Torino Zeitz

I spent a night at the hotel this weekend and came away very relaxed and happy with what I paid. The room had three windows, one facing the channel and greenery, and was much bigger than I expected for a 3* hotel. The old fashioned furniture has charm, but it still had modern comforts like WIFI-internet, a hair dryer, and LCD television. There were plenty of good quality bathing products, and everything was very clean. There’s also a small gym with an infrared sauna, which we didn’t use, but could be a plus in bad weather. Cyclists might like that it’s quite close to the elsterradweg. I’ve stayed in all the hotels in Zeitz by now, I believe, and such good value is a real snäppchen. I’ve also been eating at the restaurant often with my son over the last 3 years. It’s my favorite in zeitz, since we’re Italian and like the menu’s options beyond pasta and pizza. The mill and channel outside make for a nice setting, there’s parking for autos, and the service is friendly and caring. My son likes seeing the animals that show up now and then.

This is a Garni, so it works fine for work and sleep, and the price is okay. The owner is very nice, and she’s also at the separate Restaurant Torino. You can have Italian food there in the evening, though the quality varied across the three evenings we ate there, and only one was good. Serving canned beans as “fresh” Italian vegetables isn’t good. It’s generally not very clean. Breakfast is expensive, but acceptable. For a Garni, the value is quite okay. You can enjoy it!

The family has put in good work over a long time. Every object in the interior seems to have its own story, and the atmosphere is fantastic. Big hug to the good women! Kasel makes a white heart and, I’d say, good white vibrations. Sorry, I’m just one little thing, really a nanomillimeter, who wanted to say that.

Lovely people in a very old place. It’s cozy and comfortable, I liked it!
