The food was a highlight for me: the restaurant serves tasty traditional dishes, and the beer is good and reasonably priced. The place itself was spotless, tidy, and thoughtfully arranged. Our host was warm and welcoming, and she even remembered a few Romanian words from the years she’d lived there. I really enjoyed staying here.

The staff were really friendly, and having several rooms booked ahead meant some of our guests could stay together for the celebration. We all had a nice breakfast together the next morning. It suited what we needed, which was a quiet night’s sleep.

At €105.00, the price is outrageous, and I can’t recommend this place. There was noise from both the street and the train, and the bathroom was a complete no-go. The rooms weren’t clean, with vermin in the room, and the windows and everything else looked like they hadn’t seen a cleaning cloth in ages. I skipped breakfast because it seemed hard to get any at 7 a.m. 😳 I don’t think anyone would book here a second time.
