We were cycling and got completely ignored in the beer garden. It might otherwise be a lovely inn, but we came away feeling cyclists aren’t welcome. We carried on to the ice cream shop and café in Schöllnach, where the service was, as always, extremely friendly.

The food was good overall, and the traditional menu is decent. The place sits a little back from the street. The trouble is that the tables and chairs are right beside the cars, which gets awkward quickly when there are several of you. Okay overall.

Dogs are welcome here, which made the stay especially nice for us as dog owners. It’s a friendly inn with good food and comfortably spacious rooms, including balconies. A very welcoming, dog-friendly place.

Nothing fancy, just a simple village pub with good, straightforward food and a decent selection. It’s pretty much what you’d expect from a place like this, and you can go without expecting surprises or leaving disappointed.

We were very happy with the food, and the hostess was wonderful. The staff were capable and friendly too. We’d love to return, and not just for the christening! Thanks so much for the gift for our little man ❤️
