ibis Hannover City

This was a great stop on the way to another country. The rooms were clean and the staff friendly, and breakfast was good. I've stayed at Ibis in several countries and never had to pay for parking before; I assume it's because this one is in the city, though I'm not sure.

Even arriving late at night, we found parking easily just behind the hotel at street level, despite having a roof box on the car. The staff were kind and friendly, and the rooms were clean, easy to reach, and welcoming to families and dogs. Breakfast was very good, with plant milk and vegetarian choices. The dining room is in the main street-level area, with lots of light from its large windows.

Our room was very cold, as it sat above the parking entrance with no other room or lobby underneath. The insulation wasn't good, so the chill kept coming up through the floor and we had to leave the heating on all day. The location is great, near the tram and city, and parking is plentiful and easy. The bathroom is small, but the shower was one of the best I've had in a while, with hot water and decent pressure. The lobby machine also makes great hot chocolate.

The tram stop nearby made getting into town easy, and there’s private parking too. My room was really quiet, even with a busload of football fans staying at the hotel. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the hot chocolate machine in the lobby was a nice touch. Dogs are welcome.
