We could walk to both the town and beach in about 20 minutes, and the whole complex is fenced, so the car is protected from wild boars. Parking spots can be pretty tight, though. The reception lady was friendly and gave us all the information straight away. The apartment had what we needed, but several things needed fixing: broken light bulbs, a rusty dishwasher, and a towel rack in the window. The hallway switch was broken too. I kept wondering why it wasn't motion-activated. The bathroom layout was awkward, with the boiler above you and the door down by your feet. Apparently the boiler was set to just 35°C to save energy. We spent a week at the holiday park in Freesenbruch.

There’s a small pool and sauna on site, along with a restaurant and two electric car charging points, up to 22 kW. The holiday home complex is just outside town, but the center is easy to reach on foot or by bike.

The Waldhaus restaurant serves excellent food, and there’s a pool, sauna, and playground right in the complex. The beach is a bit far away, though we could get there easily by bicycle. We stayed ten wonderful days in apartment 4.2, a very nice ground-floor place with a terrace. Our bikes were safely kept in a storage room. The grounds were well maintained, the ladies at reception were very friendly, and the caretaker sorted out our problem right away. 👍

The kids went to the indoor pool every day, and it was such a lovely, peaceful spot surrounded by nature. Our apartment on the second floor was clean, well furnished, and child-friendly. It's a little outside town, so walking to the beach and center takes at least 30 minutes.
