Schulstr_28 _Haus Helle Brise_

We spent nearly a week at Hellen Brise as a group of seven. The booking and arrival arrangements were smooth, and our holiday was relaxing overall. The place was quiet, bright, and welcoming, with the beach, town, and bike rental all close by. The outdoor area was small but enough, and having two bathrooms worked well for us. The price seemed fair. Taking everything into account, our average would be 3.4 stars, though we’d give it four because we had a relaxed stay. The house is generally pleasant, but the kitchen is too small for seven. The fridge seemed intended for one person, or three at most, so we had to leave a lot unrefrigerated and shop daily. There was no scale or suitably large bowls for a group our size. The basic cutlery ran out after one meal, and the mini dishwasher was barely big enough for one person, let alone all seven. The provided electric grill was sticky and crusted over, though it still worked for grilling. There was a washing machine with a drying function, a vacuum, clothes rack, and broom. The washer didn't work for us, but that may have been our fault. We spent most of our time in the living room, which was rather compact for seven. The couch seats five at most, plus one in the rocking chair. The TV was frustratingly slow and often didn't respond to the remote. The dining table beside the kitchen was handy, though the ceiling light kept getting in everyone's way and seemed entirely misplaced. The two bathrooms were sufficient. Most beds were comfortable and even had small TVs, but the attic room felt uninviting, with just a small cupboard, otherwise an empty room, and a broken insect screen. The house's Wi-Fi has a data cap, which ran out on our fourth day despite fairly moderate use. The landlord provided more data after we spoke with them, but it's not something you'd want to have to think about on holiday.

There was plenty for us, four adults and two small children, and even children's plastic dishes were supplied. The only things we missed were blackout blinds and a larger dishwasher, given the house sleeps up to seven. A stair gate on the upper floors would also be a good idea. The place was stylishly furnished, clean, and well kept. The floor could have used another clean after the house had been unused for six months during the pandemic. We were very happy there and would recommend it.

We came across this holiday home by chance after deciding to return to the area where we'd camped in Prerow a few years back. The beach was about a ten-minute walk, and the bakery and Seestraße were five minutes away, which suited us perfectly. The house feels modern but still cozy, with stylish furnishings. We'd happily stay there again.

We booked Robert's vacation home spontaneously for two days with friends and their children, and loved it. It was newly furnished with lots of thoughtful little details. The children could cool off at home during the 34-degree heat thanks to the highchair and paddling pool. The house is right in central Zingst, about five minutes from Strandstraße, the bakery, and the supermarket, and a 10-15-minute walk from the beach. Thanks so much, we'll be back next summer!
