Strandvillen Wald & See

The apartment had a lot going for it: stylish furnishings, a large bathroom with a rain shower, and a kitchen with a fridge-freezer, oven, coffee maker, and dishwasher. Both bedrooms had TVs and plenty of storage for a longer stay; there was also a storage room for suitcases and a separate laundry room. But it was much too dirty for me. The photos show cobwebs, blood on the bed linen, presumably from the cleaning lady, no bin liners, dirty windowsills, and a dirty balcony. At that price, I find this unacceptable. There was no Wi-Fi either, even though we were given a code. I was there with my children for a mother-and-child health retreat in May 2025. My husband joined us in the final week and rented the “Wald am See” apartment, sea view, ground floor, apartment 3, parking space 28. He complained at reception in the Preussenhof, where you book and collect the key. They said they didn't know about the problems and would pass them on to the Polish cleaning company. Apparently nobody checks whether the place is clean. We weren't offered compensation or anything else.

The only downside was having no elevator. Otherwise, we were extremely happy with the apartment: it was very clean, had everything we needed, and the view was fantastic. Parking was available for €10 per night. The beach is just a one-minute walk away, with shops and restaurants easy to get to. We'll definitely return.

We felt at home again at Duenenste 27/6, and our parrot came along too. The apartment's historic seaside resort architecture and prime location were lovely, especially the sea view from the loggia and the warm evening sun on the balcony. The place was clean and had the amenities we expected. The weather was sunny, so we didn't need the complimentary access to the Preussenhof spa or the apartment's books for a rainy day. We'll definitely be back.

The apartment is well equipped, and the staff are friendly and helpful. It's in a lovely spot near both the sea and the forest. At first glance it seems clean, though a closer look shows some areas haven't been cleaned in a long time. There's no Wi-Fi, and mobile reception is very poor, almost nonexistent.
