Our child was particularly taken with the punching bag and all the children's books, while the fully equipped kitchen and sauna were the highlights for us parents. We felt right at home and would love to come back. It's a very cozy holiday home with fantastic amenities, and even staying in has plenty to offer. The location is superb too. By car you can quickly reach Usedom's postcard spots, including Ahlbeck and Bansin, and there's lots to do nearby with a child.

The basement was a dream for sports fans, with a power rack, rowing machine, TRX, and punching bag, plus a sauna to relax in afterward. We stayed at the Fuchsbau on Usedom for two weeks in summer 2020, two adults and two children, and thoroughly enjoyed it. The grounds were family friendly and great for walks, and the beds had excellent mattresses for restful nights. The house is in a pleasantly quiet spot away from the Imperial Spas, but the center of the action is only 10 minutes away by car. Picking up the keys was friendly and straightforward. Inside, the tasteful furnishings made it easy to settle in, and the amenities were top notch, whether in the kitchen, with the media equipment, or in the basement fitness area. You almost have to remind yourself to go outside! We'd love to return.

The owners were quick to respond, and communication was excellent. The house is lovingly furnished and has a great basement fitness room with a sauna, extra shower, and TV. There's also a Sonos system, Netflix, and a PlayStation account. We had everything except sun loungers. The drawback was the construction around the still-unfinished fishing village. There were small building sites in and around it, and equipment running nearby, within easy walking distance in the evenings. Machines were often left sitting around after work, and it was occasionally noisy. Who wants to walk past construction sites on holiday? A little more information about this would have been appreciated. If that doesn't bother you, go for it, the house is great!!! :-)

The sauna was a great end to our autumn walks. It heated quickly and was spacious for a holiday home, comfortably fitting 3-4 people. We spent a long October weekend here and the fireplace, comfortable couch, and big TV made it well suited to autumn. The house is special, with high quality throughout and thoughtful little touches, including a fox. It really feels like the owners want guests to have a good stay. Usually rentals have furnishings that are simply adequate and inexpensive, but that's not the case here. I was so impressed by the toaster that I'm planning to treat myself to one, and I watched my first Netflix series on "The Frame", which shows a photo when it's off so it looks like a picture on the wall. The basement gym, with its punching bag and other equipment, was impressive, though I mostly used it as a backdrop for sauna sessions. The mattress was very good, but I found the bedding a bit too warm for this time of year. I pay attention to details in rentals, and after years of looking for places with special touches, I appreciated things like the centrally located bathtub drain, which I didn't know existed. One or two more towel racks in the bathroom would have helped; that's about the only improvement I noticed. I also wanted to cook, thanks to the huge double-door fridge, large pantry, stylish plates, and excellent cutlery, pans, and knives. I'm thrilled with the house and the care that clearly goes into running it. I wish there were more places like it in Germany and Spain, and I'd be grateful for tips. The house is in a holiday complex with lots of grass and no fences. You can walk along the edge of the lagoon, but the steep shore seems to make easy water access impossible, so after the sauna a shower was the only option. There's an aircraft museum with a restaurant nearby, but it was closed when we visited, probably because of Covid.
