We booked a room for an overnight stop on a trip and were pleasantly surprised. The staff greeted us extremely warmly. The room and bathroom were spotless, though a few more electrical outlets would be useful. The restaurant had amazing food and service.

The service left a lot to be desired. We’d booked a cot, but it was broken, and they said they didn’t have another one. We made and paid for the reservation in March for a stay in May, yet they asked us three times on separate occasions whether it had been paid. Check-out was at 11 a.m., but they knocked at 10 to ask when we were leaving, then came back about 30 minutes later.

The bathroom had mold, which was disgusting. The rooms were so warm that sleeping with the window closed wasn’t possible, but opening it meant a lot of outside noise. There was no sound insulation from the hallway either, so getting a decent night’s sleep was impossible. I can’t give zero stars, but this was probably the worst hotel I’ve ever stayed at. Mask rules were inconsistent. At dinner, guests didn’t have to wear a mask entering the dining hall, and some staff weren’t wearing one either. Only one person on the evening staff spoke English, and the others served us too, so as a foreigner, don’t expect them to understand you. At breakfast, guests had to wear a mask to enter, but the buffet had no hand sanitizer available even though Covid-19 was still around. Super irresponsible. I’m never coming back and wouldn’t recommend it to anyone.

The hotel was nice and clean, and breakfast was nice too. The people were kind and helpful, and they spoke good English.

Good location and a good hotel, with a very good breakfast. The one downside was that nobody spoke English.
