We rented both houses for a weekend with the whole family, 13 of us altogether. They were very well equipped, and we'd happily come back.

The countryside setting is a bit remote, though that was fine for us and could suit your plans perfectly. We stayed in the larger apartment, with two adults and three kids, and got a really warm welcome. There’s lots of room for families or bigger groups, and we felt right at home. The bathrooms, kitchen and dining area were excellent, and the living room was huge. The bedroom and living room furniture felt a little basic, but everything was clean. Upstairs there’s a big playroom with a few toys. We also liked the small honesty shelf stocked with a few snacks, drinks and food. It’s impressive to see what they’ve made of the old barn.

The attic playroom was a big hit with the kids. We came as a four-generation family and had a wonderful time in this great place for a large family. The kitchen had everything we needed and opened straight onto the dining room. A little higher up, the living room had enormous sofas.
