Lindenhaus

I spent a week here in May 2019 on a motorcycle tour with Peter Turner, and had the best time. Peter, Micha, and their dog Willy made me feel at home. The room was clean, the meals were great, and the company was excellent. There are great walking tracks in the forest and a glass factory museum nearby. I’d recommend a stay in the black Forrest. We spent three nights in an apartment as a group of three and felt at home right away. It’s open-plan, simply but comfortably furnished, with nice-quality furniture. We used the lovely sauna once, and it had been thoughtfully prepared for us. This morning there was freshly baked cake waiting. The place has a warm, welcoming feel and is quiet, with two supermarkets and a dm drugstore within walking distance. The Zwiesel bypass is close by, so it’s a handy base for trips. The large shared kitchen has a roomy sofa area and big indoor table, plus a large outdoor dining table on the terrace, which should work well for groups or larger families staying at Lindenhaus.

The shared kitchen was very clean and had everything we needed, since we stayed in an apartment and had to eat there. The rooms are furnished with a lot of care and feel cozy. The sauna was a highlight, and you can use it once per stay for free. We didn’t expect much, but were pleasantly surprised. Anyone after affordable accommodation in the Bavarian Forest shouldn’t be disappointed. We’ll definitely come back.

The area is beautiful, and the hosts are so nice. Simply wonderful. As a dialysis patient, I also received excellent care at the Zwiesel dialysis center.
