ibis Berlin Messe

The location is the hardest thing to beat about this hotel. It was basic and clean, but the shower was nearly impossible to use. I used it every day and felt like I was risking my life each time. It was smaller than a cruise ship shower, with barely room to turn around, let alone bend down to wash my legs. You had to step up about a foot into the slippery stall, and the only thing to hold onto was the shower controls. Luckily, I didn’t break the pipes. There was no air conditioning. I kept the shades closed during the day and opened the windows at night. I managed to sleep with a portable fan, but without buying one, that first night would have been impossible.

Really happy with the service and the value for money. The rooms were clean and tidy, and the staff were polite and helpful.

I was worried about spending a week at ibis messe Berlin, since I’m used to staying in 5 star hotels when travelling for work. The decor aside, I was pleasantly surprised and can’t recommend the place enough. The hotel team were the real highlight. Maria especially went out of her way to help me. I can’t thank her enough for being so professional and friendly. Well done, ibis Berlin team. I’m a very happy guest and will recommend you to my corporate congress team for future bookings. X

We stayed four nights. The room was small, but the shower worked perfectly and breakfast was good.
