We spent one night and moved to a real hotel. The service was good, but the room was small and uncomfortable, with an uncomfortable bed and no real furnishings. They call it beachfront, though there’s no beach visible, even to Superman. There’s an impassable muddy street nearby, maybe that’s what they meant. I’m still shocked that a country with so little to offer charges premium hotel prices for places that wouldn’t rate two or three stars in real tourist destinations. You can put lipstick on a pig, but it’s still a pig.

The location isn’t in the touristy part of town, but the service was impeccable. Staff worked hard, showed real respect, and seemed completely focused on giving great service. The hotel was very clean, breakfast was free from 6 to 10, and there was a free driver. It really reflected the kindness of the country.

I was a regular guest, and everything worked well. The staff are very nice and helpful, and it’s clean, with transportation included. Breakfast is a bit too simple. There aren’t good hotels in Djibouti, so compared with the rest I’d give this four stars. In Europe, it would be one at most.

The staff are friendly, but the room is small and the bed uncomfortable. One window is poorly fitted, so mosquitoes get in. There’s no restaurant, just a basic breakfast with a croissant, bread, cheese spread, and a hot drink. I haven’t seen the unlimited drinks another review mentioned, and there was no water in the room.

The room is basic but clean, and there’s no restaurant, though the hotel staff can order delivery food. They’re always ready to help. Coffee and tea are free, as is the driver, and breakfast is a good French style one.
