It felt like a cosy Airbnb, and check-in was easy using the key box code in the email. The house seems to be under renovation, so things were a bit messy, but the bedroom and upstairs toilet were clean. There are two kitchens, one in the basement and one on level 1, and both were usable, though they lacked plates and utensils. There are two showers and toilets, one in the basement and another on level 1. The upstairs one was clean, but the basement one could use some work, and its shower tended to clog for a while during use. The basement toilet was also clogged. I took off a star for that and the missing kitchen utensils. The bed and room were clean, and towels were provided. It’s about a 20-minute walk from Aalborg bus and train station.

The host was extremely friendly, and we had a nice chat when I arrived. But the place is older and less cosy than the pictures suggested. The stairs were quite different too. The biggest problems were the cleaning and the smell, and there’s no kitchen.

Everything was clean, and the prices were very affordable. It’s a simple but cosy place with WiFi that worked well, and the owner was very nice and accommodating.

They cancelled my reservation at short notice and messed up my holiday plans. Don’t book here.

The fixtures are old, but the staff are friendly and accommodating. It’s a few minutes from the centre, and there’s free WiFi.
