The price felt very reasonable for such a central spot, and I'd stay here again. The hotel is beside the theater and near the sea, with attractions, bars, and restaurants within five minutes. The train and bus station is only a 10-15 minute walk away. Staff were consistently friendly and helpful, and the lobby and reception were open and pleasant. Breakfast was good too, with cold cuts, scrambled eggs, fried potatoes, fruit, and different kinds of bread.

My room was tiny, but the bed was the most comfortable one I've had in Denmark! The place is functional and has what you need for a couple of nights. Great location, with some very good bars and restaurants nearby.

For that price, the small room is totally fine. If all you need is somewhere to stay for the night, it's perfect value for money.

The check-in was hugely disappointing. After 24 straight hours of travel to Aarhus, including a flight delayed by five hours, roadwork delays that meant no trains to Aarhus, and a 30-minute wait in the freezing cold for a packed replacement bus, we arrived at 10pm still cold. A sign on the door said to call to check in, while staff inside gestured for us to phone instead of letting us in. They should make this policy very clear online. International travelers can't be expected to have phone service. I had a SIM card but hadn't received the tool to activate it yet, and plenty of people use data-only eSIMs. Eventually staff let us in, but the man rudely scolded us for not calling and said travelers are expected to be able to use a phone. That's not a reasonable expectation. I've visited over 25 countries and stayed in countless hotels, and have never been treated so rudely. After a full day's journey, nobody wants to be told off. Staff need more empathy. On top of that, the elevator was broken, so we had to haul our suitcases upstairs. The room was nothing special and very small, which would've been okay if we hadn't been left to freeze and insulted by staff who thought they knew best.

The room was so small it felt like a hostel, and the thin walls meant I could hear the neighbours and the elevator. The bathroom reminded me of one on a German train. There was no shampoo, body lotion, or conditioner either. If you're used to hostels, it's good enough. For a proper hotel room, I wouldn't stay here.
